Protectowire Linear Heat Detection Cable, Zone Boxes and Accessories

Protectowire began with the invention of linear heat detection in 1938 and has focused on special hazard fire detection since. Linear heat detector cable senses heat along its whole length, which makes it useful where spot detectors are hard to place, such as conveyors, cable trays, tunnels and other harsh or hazardous areas.

The Protectowire cable we list is sold in 500 foot spools with fixed temperature ratings of 135F, 155F, 190F, 220F and 280F. Cable is offered in different jacket types, including the XLT, XCR and EPC versions, and in versions on a stainless steel messenger wire (the -M part numbers). Match the temperature rating and jacket to the environment and to the control panel or interface it will connect to.
