Suppression Valves

Valves control agent release and system pressure in a fixed suppression installation: cylinder valves, safety relief valves, check valves, selector valves for multi-hazard systems, and lockout valves used to isolate a system safely during maintenance.

Each valve is matched to the cylinder and agent it serves, with a specific pressure rating and outlet configuration. Lockout valves in particular are a safety item — they prevent accidental discharge while technicians are inside the protected space, and their position is normally supervised so the panel reports a disabled system.

Order from the system drawings; a valve that physically fits is not necessarily the valve the design calculation assumed.
