6820U is the Silent Knight 6000 Ultra Series intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a built-in dual-technology (IP and POTS) communicator, and is the direct replacement for the 6820/5820XL. One built-in SLC supports 159 System Sensor SK detectors and 159 SK modules, or 127 Hochiki SD protocol devices, expandable to 1110 (SK) or 635 (SD) points. It complies with UL 864 10th Edition and UL 2572 2nd Edition.

Compatibility and installation notes
- SK/SS and SD devices cannot be mixed in the same system; SWIFT wireless devices work only with SK devices.
- Expand with the 6815 (SK) or 5815XL (SD) SLC expander, 5895XL or 5496 power expanders.
- Up to 17 panels can share a common communications link over copper or, with SK-FML/SK-FSL cards, fiber.
- Program with JumpStart auto programming, the front keypad, or Honeywell Fire Software Suite (HFSS) via USB.
- Optional HW-AV-LTE-M-2 cellular communicator; RBB remote battery box holds batteries up to 35 Ah.
