PRN-7 is a 24-pin dot-matrix event printer used with Fire-Lite fire alarm control panels that have printer capability. It produces a time- and date-stamped hard copy of system events and status changes, along with printouts of the system configuration and addressable device parameters. On Fire-Lite MS-5UD and MS-10UD panels it connects through the ANN-S/PG serial/parallel printer gateway module.

Compatibility and installation notes
- Install no more than 20 ft (6.10 m) of actual cable length from the fire alarm control panel, in a secure area.
- On MS-5UD/MS-10UD panels, connect to the ANN-S/PG module with a standard DB-9 cable and set the printer options listed in the panel manual (for example 9600 or 2400 baud, 7 bit, even parity, 1 stop bit, XON/XOFF).
- The printer needs primary AC power; where a secondary power source is required, use a separate UL-listed UPS or building emergency power that meets NFPA 72.
- Listed as a compatible event printer for the Fire-Lite MRP-2002(E) agent release control panel.
