VESDA VSP-502 — remote display module for the VESDA VLC LaserCOMPACT aspirating smoke detector, VESDAnet version.
The VLC detector itself carries only five LEDs and a reset button. The VSP-502 gives it a full front panel at a manned location, so a technician can read the smoke level and the cause of a fault without opening the detector.
- Serves the VN VESDAnet model VLC-505 only; the relays-only VLC-500 has no display
- Cannot be fitted inside the VLC as it can on VLP and VLS; mounts in a Mounting Unit or 19" subrack
- Twenty-step bar graph scaled to the fire alarm level, with Alert, Pre-Alarm and Fire threshold indicators
- Numeric display toggles between sensitivity, smoke level in % obs/m or % obs/ft, and zone number
- Fault LEDs for Urgent, System, Zone, Power, Network, Airflow and Filter, plus OK and Isolate
- Mode/Test key gives a lamp test when held over two seconds, alongside Silence, Reset and Isolate
This is a display, not a programmer: its keys cannot configure the detector, so commissioning still needs the VESDA LCD Programmer. VSP-515 is the VN termination card and VSP-510 the RO card.
