Simplex 49WG-SOWR — red wall wire guard for TrueAlert ES speaker-only notification appliances.
In the TrueAlert ES part-number scheme WG is the wire guard and SO the speaker-only appliance family, so this guard belongs to the wall speakers covered by data sheet S49SOW-0001, not to any horn, strobe or speaker-strobe. It is the impact-protection option for gymnasia, corridors, plant rooms and parking structures.
- Catalogued as Wire guard, wall, red
- Covers the wall speaker-only appliances 49SO-APPLW and weatherproof 49SO-APPLW-O, and the high fidelity 49HF-APPLW
- Companion weatherproof wire guard back box is 49WGBB-SOWR-O
- Those appliances mount on 49MP-SOWR red or 49MP-SOWW white back plates
- Simplex publishes a single speaker output table for these appliances and lists no separate de-rated rating for a guarded appliance
Match the guard to the appliance family, not just the colour — a wall speaker-strobe takes 49WG-SVWCR instead, and 49WGBB-SOWR-O is the back box, not the guard.
