Simplex 4190-9829 — modular network interface card (NIC) for the TrueSite Workstation.
The TrueSite Workstation is a PC-based head-end node on a Simplex fire network, and it reaches that network only through a NIC seated in the workstation PC. The modular card fixes no media type of its own: it carries a left and a right media port, so one card can run wired copper on one side and duplex fiber on the other.
- Modular network interface card for the Simplex TrueSite Workstation
- Takes two 4120-series media modules, left port and right port
- Duplex fiber media options: 4190-6301 single-mode left, 4190-6302 single-mode right, 4190-6303 multi-mode left, 4190-6304 multi-mode right
- Up to four NICs per workstation PC, each serving one network of up to 98 nodes
This is a workstation card, not a panel card — a 4100ES uses the 4100-6078 NIC. Media modules are ordered separately, and left and right fiber cards are not interchangeable: each end of a link needs the matching opposite-wavelength card.
