Simplex 4100-6303 — 4120 MM-L duplex fiber media card, the multi-mode left port module for a 4100ES or 4100U network interface card.
These cards work by wavelength rather than by a pair of strands: the left card transmits 1550 nm and receives 1310 nm, the right does the reverse, so one fiber carries the link both ways. Hence handed parts; a link needs an L at one node and an R at the other, and each interface card takes one left and one right module at most.
- Multi-mode, left port; 55 mA
- Mounts on the 4100ES / 4100U network interface, 4100-6078 or 4100-6061
- Fiber 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm graded index, SC connector
- Maximum 16,400 ft (5 km); total attenuation 18 dB max
- Optical launch power –8 dBm to 0 dBm (159 to 1000 µW)
Order the mate, not the twin. 4100-6304 is the MM-R card this pairs with; 6301 and 6302 are the single-mode SM-L and SM-R, and Simplex requires both ends to match. 4100-6056 is the wired card for this interface; the older 4100-6057 fiber card belongs to the 4100-6014 interface.
