Simplex 4100-6301 — 4120 SM-L Duplex Fiber Media Card, the single-mode left-port half of a fiber network link.
On a 4120 network, nodes chain right port to left port, and each span needs a matched pair of transceivers running opposite wavelengths over one fiber. This is the left-port single-mode card: it transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1310 nm, so it mates with a right-port card at the far end. It mounts on the 4100-6078 modular NIC in the left media position (P5); a second media card can occupy the right position (P6).
