Simplex 4098-9734 — the white TrueAlarm high temperature heat sensor, the only sensor in its family carrying a 190 °F set point.
It is an analog head: it reports measured temperature to the control unit and the panel decides what is an alarm. Sensing is rate compensated and self restoring, a third class alongside fixed temperature and rate of rise, and the threshold is set in software rather than by part number.
- Fixed temperature selectable at the panel for 135, 155 or 190 °F, the 190 °F point unique to this model
- Rate of rise separately selectable at 15 or 20 °F per minute, independent of the fixed point
- UL and ULC listed spacing 60 x 60 ft at 135 or 190 °F, 40 x 40 ft at 155 °F
- FM spacing 20 x 20 ft fixed temperature only, 50 x 50 ft with either rate of rise selection
- Listed to UL 521 and ULC-S530, NEMA 1, operating range 32 to 150 °F
- IDNet only, and only on 4100ES, 4010ES and 4007ES panels
A base is a separate catalogue number: 4098-9792, 4098-9789, 4098-9791, 4098-9780 or 4098-9776. The ordinary heat sensor is 4098-9733 in white and 4098-9778 in black, both lacking the 190 °F point.
