Simplex 4090-9116 — addressable dual-port IDNet communications isolator for 4100ES, 4100U, 4010ES and 4008 panels.
This is a wiring-integrity device, not a monitor point: it carries no initiating device circuit. Both ports are bidirectional, and a short downstream separates them automatically, so a fault drops one riser segment instead of the whole signaling line circuit. It can also be forced into isolation from the panel, to walk an earth fault down to one floor without disconnecting wiring.
- One IDNet address and one unit load; powered from the SLC
- Class B or Class A; on Class A, place isolators as first and last devices
- Up to 2,500 ft from the panel, 10,000 ft total including T-taps; 18 to 14 AWG
- 4-1/8" × 4-1/8" × 1-3/8"; 4" square box, 2-1/8" deep; 32° to 120°F indoor only
Not a ZAM, despite the neighbouring numbers: 4090-9101 and 4090-9106 monitor a conventional IDC; this monitors nothing. For a visible status LED add trim plate 4090-9801 (semi-flush) or 4090-9802 (surface).
