Siemens TZC-8B — firefighters telephone zone card with eight supervised zones, part number 500-034110.
A zone goes active when an FTS station on it is taken off hook, or a PFT handset is plugged into an FJ jack. The caller hears an acknowledge tone, the zone lamp flashes at the command console, and selecting that zone joins it to the telephone riser in a party-line connection while any other active station hears a busy tone.
- Eight circuits, each a single pair, individually supervised Class B and power limited per NEC 760
- Up to five stations off hook at once with no loss of audio
- Occupies one card slot, via two 96-pin DIN connectors, in any slot
- Supervised by the DAC-NET card; one of 99 CAN addresses, set on two dials
- 280 mA standby at 24 V, from a screw terminal, nothing from the back plane
- UL 864 and CAN/ULC-S576 listed; 32 to 120 °F
One card number serves FireFinder XLS, Desigo Modular and Cerberus PRO Modular panels, in a CC-2 two-slot or CC-5 five-slot cage. It is not a telephone system on its own: the FMT master telephone, FTS stations, PFT handsets and FJ jacks are separate numbers.
