Siemens TRI-S — single-input intelligent interface module, catalogue 500-896225, that supervises one dry contact and reports its state to the fire alarm panel.
The TRI series brings direct shorting devices onto an addressable circuit, via the MLC loop module on a FireFinder XLS or the ALD loop driver on an MXL system. An on-board microcomputer holds address and status in non-volatile memory, so there are no DIP switches or rotary dials.
- One supervised dry-contact input, programmed normally open or closed and for alarm, trouble or supervisory use
- Switch circuit rated 27 VDC max, 3.5 mA during polling, 200 feet at 18 AWG
- End of line is the EL-30/31 plate with a 470 Ω, 1/4 W resistor, part 140-82016485
- Addressed electronically with the DPU or FPI-32 tester; two-wire operation, multi-color status LED
- Mounts in a 4 in. square, 2-1/8 in. deep or double-gang box; terminal 5 needs a ground
The TRI-R (500-896224) is this module with an addressable Form C relay on the input address; the TRI-D (500-896226) is dual-input and takes two addresses. The series does not work with the XL3 or XLD-1 loop.
