Siemens PSX-12 — power supply extender adding a further 12 A at 24 VDC to a FireFinder XLS, Desigo Modular or Cerberus PRO Modular panel, part number 500-034120.
It expands the main PSC-12 supply and battery charger rather than replacing either, and is an addressable module that reports terminal loading, ground faults and its own failures to the panel operator interface.
- 12 A at 24 VDC over two terminals, one power limited at 4 A and one non-power-limited at 12 A, total not to exceed 12 A
- Universal input 120 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz; 3.5 A max at 120 VAC, 2.0 A at 240 VAC
- 24 V standby current 150 mA; no back plane current at all
- 18 A breaker on the battery input; battery 15 to 100 Ah for this module
- Up to three extenders on one PSC-12, in one of four module spaces in a CAB enclosure
- UL 864 and CAN/ULC-S576 listed; 32 to 120 °F
No Siemens document read gives the extender a charger of its own; the built-in charger for batteries up to 100 Ah belongs to the PSC-12. Do not confuse it with PSX-12M, part S54430-C27-A1, the Cerberus PRO Modular variant that pairs with a PSFA where this pairs with a PTB.
