Siemens HCP (500-034860) — intelligent control point, 24 VDC.
The HCP is an addressable control point used to drive Siemens NAC-series alarm signaling devices from an intelligent fire alarm loop. It can be configured as an independent, remotely located notification appliance circuit, speaker zone, or firefighter’s telephone zone, which lets a single device be placed where the load is rather than running every circuit back to the panel.
The device is supervised for loss of 24 VDC input power and for short or open output-zone wiring, so a fault in the downstream circuit is reported rather than discovered during test. Addressing and configuration are done electronically using the Device Programming/Test Unit (DPU) and Zeus programming software — there are no rotary dials, DIP switches or program jumpers to set, which removes a common source of commissioning error.
It mounts in a standard double-gang or 4-inch box. Siemens Modular panels and the 50-point, 252-point and 504-point addressable FACPs recognize HCP devices. Confirm compatibility with your specific panel and firmware revision before ordering.
