Notifier MODBUS-CGW — the Modbus feature for the Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) Gateway. It is a purchased software activation, not hardware.
With it enabled the gateway acts as a slave to a third-party Modbus master and publishes alarm and event data from the panels it serves. Honeywell sells the support on CLSS Site Manager against the account token balance, and it is applied in the CLSS App as a one time activation.
- Monitors ten compatible nodes, not counting the gateway node itself
- Maximum of two Modbus clients or masters, and one-byte Unit IDs
- Modbus Specification V1.1b; reads up to 100 registers at a time
- Auto-discovers and maps points, returning a mapping report
- Static IP, 100Base-T, TCP ports 80, 443, 502 and 4016
- UL 864 Tenth Edition and CAN/ULC S527-19, supplementary only
- Does not read 4 to 20 mA analog values, which the legacy MODBUS-GW does
All hardware specifications belong to the gateway itself, HON-CGW-MBB, or CGW-MB for the board and CGW-BB for the enclosure, none of which is included. It adds INSPIRE panel and self-test detector support, which the legacy MODBUS-GW has not, and Notifier states the two may reside on one system — which is how an installation needing 4 to 20 mA values keeps them.
