NOTIFIER FMM-101 — a miniature addressable monitor module that supervises a Style B (Class B) circuit of dry-contact input devices, small enough to mount inside a single-gang box behind the device it monitors.
At 1.3" high x 2.75" wide x 0.65" deep, its compact design and light weight allow it to be installed without rigid mounting, directly behind the monitored unit. The FMM-101 is intended for use in intelligent, two-wire systems where the individual address of each module is selected using rotary switches. It provides a two-wire initiating device circuit for normally-open-contact fire alarm and security devices, and can be used to replace MMX-101(A) modules in existing systems.
Use it to monitor a single device or a zone of four-wire smoke detectors, manual fire alarm pull stations, waterflow devices, or other normally-open dry-contact devices. It may also monitor normally-open supervisory devices with special supervisory indication at the control panel. The module is powered directly by the two-wire SLC loop — no additional power is required — and built-in type identification automatically identifies it as a monitor module to the panel. Tinned, stripped leads are provided for ease of wiring, and a 47K ohm end-of-line resistor is supplied.

Installation notes

Class B only: the FMM-101 supervises a Style B (Class B) circuit. If the design calls for Style D (Class A), use the full-size FMM-1 instead.

Mounting: intended to be wired and mounted without rigid connections inside a standard electrical box — typically the single-gang box behind the monitored device.

End-of-line resistor: the supplied 47K ohm EOL resistor terminates the circuit. Do not substitute the 3.9K resistor used by two-wire detector interface modules.

IDC limits: maximum IDC wiring resistance is 1500 ohms; exceeding it will produce trouble conditions.

Address range depends on protocol: 01–159 on FlashScan, 01–99 on CLIP. Avoid duplicating addresses on the system.

Power-limited wiring only. All wiring must conform to applicable local codes, ordinances and regulations; refer to the SLC Wiring Manual, PN 51253.
