Hubbell OMNIDT2000RP is an OMNI low voltage dual technology ceiling occupancy sensor from Hubbell Control Solutions, rated for 2,000 square feet, with the RP relay and photocell option.
It uses ultrasonic and passive infrared sensing together to switch lighting on occupancy. IntelliDAPT self-adaptive technology adjusts sensitivity and timing by itself, with no manual adjustment, and settings are kept in non-volatile memory. It is a sensor head, not a switch: Hubbell states it needs a UVPP or MP-Series power pack, sold separately.
Features
- The catalog number decodes it: OMNI, DT dual technology, 2000 for coverage, RP for relay and photocell
- Triggering is a switch setting: A2 off demands both infrared AND ultrasonic, A2 on accepts either alone
- Relay: SPDT with NO and NC contacts, 500 mA at 24 VDC, three-wire isolated
- Photocell: adjustable daylight override, 0 to 100 foot-candles (0 to 1,000 lux)
- Ultrasonic 32 kHz; infrared by dual-element pyrometer and Fresnel lens
- Self-adjusting timer, 8 to 30 minutes in automatic mode, 8 seconds in test, with auto reset from test
- Automatic false-on and false-off corrections

Power pack wiring
A UVPP power pack supplies 150 mA and each sensor draws 33 mA. Hubbell's wiring notes say not to power more than 4 devices, sensors or slave packs, from a single power pack. Lighting turns on when at least one sensor on the circuit detects motion.
Related models
OMNIDT1000 and OMNIDT500 are the 1,000 and 500 sq ft versions (the OMNIDT500 runs its ultrasonic at 40 kHz), and a plain OMNIDT2000 has neither the relay nor the photocell.
FAQ
Does the OMNIDT2000RP switch line voltage by itself?
No. It is a 24 VDC sensor; the load is switched by a UVPP or MP-Series power pack.
Can it turn lights on with only one technology?
Yes. With the A2 switch on, either infrared or ultrasonic alone can trigger it; with A2 off, both are required.
