Honeywell HPF-PS6 — a 6.0 A, 120 VAC remote power supply with integral battery charger in a lockable red metal enclosure.
The HPF-PS Series is Honeywell’s remote power supply line and a direct replacement for the HPF24S6/8 and HPFF8. The HPF-PS6 may be connected to any 12 or 24 volt fire alarm control panel or used as a standalone power supply. It provides 24 VDC power for notification appliance circuits configured as either Class B or Class A (Class A requires the ZNAC-PS option card), with multiple sync protocol options, and it also provides auxiliary power, constant or resettable, for detectors, annunciators, door holders and other fire alarm peripherals. Everything is configured with onboard DIP switches, so no extra software is required. The cabinet is heavy gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coat, chip and scratch resistant finish, ten double knockouts and a removable door.

Installation notes
-
This is the 6 A, 120 V, red unit: the family shares one datasheet, and the models differ in ways that matter. The HPF-PS6 draws 5.0 A maximum from a 120 VAC branch circuit and delivers 6.0 A total. Do not size conductors or batteries from the 10 A models’ figures.
-
Five outputs on the 6 A model, not seven: the 6 amp model provides up to five independently-configurable output circuits and two isolated input/control circuits. The 10 amp models provide seven and three.
-
Regulated versus special application: TB8–TB9 are 1 A regulated and TB10–TB12 are 0.3 A regulated. The 3 A per-circuit figure is a special-application rating, not the regulated rating, and total draw across all outputs still cannot exceed 6.0 A.
-
Class A needs a card: converting from Class B to Class A wiring without losing outputs requires the ZNAC-PS converter card, sold separately.
-
Batteries over 18 AH go outside: the cabinet holds two 7 AH or 18 AH batteries. The charger will charge up to 33 AH, but a 33 AH battery set needs a separate cabinet. For larger batteries still, the onboard charger can be disabled by DIP switch and an external charger used.
-
Lead-acid only: the charging circuit supports lead-acid batteries only, float-charging at 27.6 VDC.
-
Cascading: up to four power supplies can be cascaded, and synchronization can be triggered from FACP NAC or remote sync outputs, a cascaded power supply, or a control module which may be housed within the power supply cabinet.
-
Seismic installations: the SEISKIT-MULTI-1 provides bracket and hardware for two 7 AH or two 18 AH batteries.
