MMF-300 — addressable monitor module for one zone of normally-open dry-contact initiating devices, for use on the SLC of Fire•Lite intelligent addressable fire alarm control panels.
The MMF-300 is the full-size monitor module in the Fire•Lite addressable range. It mounts in a standard 4.0" (10.16 cm) box and ships with a plastic cover plate and an end-of-line resistor. Unlike the miniature MMF-301, the MMF-300 includes an LED and can be configured for either a Class B or a Class A initiating device circuit, which is what makes it the module of choice where the IDC wiring must be Class A or where a local polling indication is wanted at the module. It supervises a circuit of normally-open dry-contact devices such as conventional heat detectors, pull stations, waterflow switches and tamper switches, and reports that circuit’s status to the panel under its own address.

Installation notes

Do not substitute the MMF-301: the miniature MMF-301 excludes the LED and the Class A option and connects with wire pigtails. If the drawings call for a Class A IDC or a module LED, only the full-size MMF-300 will do.

Surface mounting: the SMB500 is used to mount all modules except the MMF-301 and M301, so it is the correct surface backbox for the MMF-300.

End-of-line resistor: the 47k ohm assembly supervises the MMF-300 module circuit and is included with each module — do not fit the 3.9k ohm assembly, which belongs to the MMF-302.

Dry contacts only: this module monitors normally-open dry-contact devices. To monitor a zone of conventional two-wire smoke detectors, use the MMF-302, which requires resettable 24 VDC power.

Box depth: plan for a standard 4.0" square box; confirm depth against the module installation sheet before rough-in.
