Edwards BPS10A is a 10-amp remote booster power supply. It is a UL 864 10th Edition certified, 24 VDC filtered, regulated and supervised unit that adds notification appliance circuits or auxiliary power where a panel has run out of either.
The BPS10A provides four Class B notification appliance circuits, convertible to two Class A, which can be activated in one or two groups from the unit's dual-input circuits. Any of the four NACs can instead be configured as an auxiliary output, and a separate 200 mA dedicated auxiliary output is provided. The supply monitors and charges internal or external batteries, and the steel enclosure holds up to two 10 ampere-hour batteries. It supports Mass Notification/Emergency Communication as well as life safety use, and is supplied in a keyed lockable steel cabinet with a removable door. Batteries, tamper switch and seismic kit are separate catalog numbers.

Installation notes

Circuit and total limits differ: each circuit is capped at 3 amperes, but the total across all NACs cannot exceed 10 A.

Batteries above 10 Ah (12V17A through 12V65A) need a separate battery cabinet, BC-1 or BC-2. Batteries are ordered in pairs.

FM: for FM applications the maximum battery size is 24 Ah.
