Amerex B500 — 5 lb ABC dry chemical hand portable fire extinguisher rated 2A:10B:C, Amerex part number 15312, with an anodized aluminium valve, handle and lever.
The B500 is the compact end of the Amerex aluminium-valve line, sized for offices, vehicles and small commercial spaces. Its siliconized mono ammonium phosphate agent melts at about 350°F to coat burning Class A material, and smothers Class B fires without conducting electricity back to the operator. The drawn-steel cylinder carries a high-gloss polyester powder paint finish.
