Xtralis OSID OSE-HPW — high power wired emitter for the OSID open-area smoke imaging detection system, externally powered at 24 VDC.
OSID is projected beam smoke detection rebuilt around imaging. The emitter throws a coded sequence of ultraviolet and infrared pulses at an imager fitted with a CMOS array, and because the two wavelengths scatter differently against small and large particles the system separates smoke from dust, steam and intruding objects.
- Externally powered, 800 µA at 24 VDC, against 350 µA for the standard power emitter
- Supply 20 to 30 VDC, 24 VDC nominal; field wiring 26 to 12 AWG
- Range with an OSI-90 imager 12 m (39 ft) to 68 m (223 ft); with an OSI-45, 30 m to 120 m (393 ft)
- Up to seven emitters tracked by one OSI-45 or OSI-90 imager
- 208 × 136 × 96 mm (8.2 × 5.4 × 3.8 in), 535 g; IP44 electronics, IP66 optics
An emitter is not a detector on its own; the imager carries the alarm and trouble relays. OSE-SPW is the standard power wired emitter, and OSE-HP-01 the high power battery version, with a three-year battery and a shorter 50 m (164 ft) maximum on an OSI-90.
