Thermotech 302-194 Heat Detector - Rate Compensation, Interior Vertical Surface Mount FM Ul - 194 Degrees
The Thermotech 302-194 is a 194°F rate compensation heat detector for interior, vertical surface mounting with terminal-screw connections. A high-expansion aluminum shell surrounds two struts carrying normally open silver contacts: on a slow temperature rise the contacts close at the rated temperature, and on a rapid rise the shell expands ahead of the struts so the detector operates slightly early, compensating for thermal lag. It resets itself when the air temperature falls back below the rating. Thermotech lists the 194°F rating for locations where the ceiling temperature can reach up to 150°F.
