System Sensor RTS151 is a magnet-operated remote test station for duct smoke detectors, with a red alarm LED and a recessed reset port. It replaces the earlier RTS451.
Duct smoke detectors sit in ductwork above ceilings, where reaching them for a periodic test means a lift and an access panel. The RTS151 brings test, reset and alarm indication down to eye level on a single-gang box. Holding the painted face of the supplied magnet against the marked point starts a detector test; a small tool in the reset hole clears it.
- Magnet-operated test switch; one M02-04 test magnet supplied
- Alarm LED 2.8 to 32 VDC, 12 mA max.; total current 105 mA max.
- Test and reset switches each rated 10 VA @ 32 VDC
- Alarm response time 40 seconds maximum
- Operating range -10 °C to 60 °C (14 °F to 140 °F), 95% RH non-condensing
- 4.8" H × 2.90" W × 1.4" D; terminals accept 14 to 18 AWG
The RTS151KEY is not a finish option on this station: it is key-operated, adds a green power LED, and is a different size. System Sensor states that the RTS151 replaces the earlier RTS451. D2 detectors also need a DCoil, and DH400 and DH500 models a Coil.
Compatibility
- Duct smoke detectors such as the DNR and DNRW housings (System Sensor lists D2 detectors as also needing a DCoil, and DH400 and DH500 models a Coil). Listed here: DCOIL.
