System Sensor M02-09-00 — detector test magnet on a 32" telescoping handle.
Many System Sensor and Honeywell-brand detectors carry a built-in functional test switch that closes when a magnet is held to the marked spot on the housing. The detector then stimulates its own electronics and reports an alarm, exercising the head, its base connections and the signalling path in one action. The handle is what separates this number from the bare magnet.
- Listed as an accessory for the System Sensor 100 Series detectors, 2151 and 2151T
- Listed for the 200 Series bases: B501, B210LP, B224RB relay, B224BI isolator, B200S and B200SR sounders
- Listed for the Fire-Lite SD365 Series and the Notifier Self-Test Series
- Listed for the Gamewell-FCI Velociti Series 3 thermal detectors
- The magnetic test is a functional test of the detector and its reporting path, not a sensitivity check
The part to compare it with is the plain magnet without a handle, and there are two numbers for it: M02-04-00 in the 200 Series base sheet and the Fire-Lite and Notifier lines, and M02-04-01 in the 100 Series sheet and the Gamewell-FCI thermals. For lifting a head out of its base, the tools are the XR-2B head and XP-4 pole.
