Simplex 4906-9254 — white ceiling-mount TrueAlert addressable speaker with multi-candela strobe, FIRE lettering.
The strobe is individually addressed, powered and supervised over an IDNAC signalling line circuit, and reports its own point identification, label and candela setting. The speaker is a separate multi-tap circuit, wired independently.
- Xenon strobe selectable at 15, 30, 75 or 110 cd by jumper or from the panel, synchronized 1 Hz flash
- Speaker taps of 1/4 W, 1/2 W, 1 W and 2 W at 25 or 70.7 VRMS
- IDNAC holds a regulated 29 Vdc even on standby battery, so the strobe runs at lower current
- Strobe listed to UL 1971, speaker to UL 1480; meets NFPA 72 for 520 Hz sleeping-room signalling
- Round white housing 7 1/2" or 191 mm diameter, projecting 2 5/8" or 67 mm below the ceiling
- Magnetic test diagnostics; Class B may use T-taps, Class A needs in-out wiring
The wall equivalents are 4906-9253 white and 4906-9251 red. On the ceiling housing 4906-9255 has no lettering and 4906-9256 reads ALERT; 4906-9257 is the ULC version where this model is UL. It replaces 4903-9362, -9363 and -9364.
