Simplex 4098-5610 — conventional heat detector combining a 135 °F (57.2 °C) fixed temperature element with rate of rise sensing.
Heat detection suits property protection where smoke detection is unsuitable. This is a detector head: it fits a separately catalogued two wire or four wire base, which carries the field wiring and any relay or LED option.
- Fixed temperature element rated 135 °F (57.2 °C)
- Rate of rise alarm at 20 °F per minute (11 °C) or faster, active only above 90 °F (32 °C)
- UL maximum spacing 50 ft; heat detectors listed to UL 521 Edition 7 and to ULC
- Two wire 10.5 to 33 VDC; four wire rated 15 to 32 VDC
- Standby current under 70 µA, maximum alarm current 64 mA at 30 V
- Bases 4098-5207, 4098-5261, 4098-5680, 4098-5682; indoor only
The 4098-5611 is the same 135 °F head without rate of rise, and the 4098-5613 is the rate of rise head rated 200 °F (93.3 °C). On the claim that this replaces the 4098-9613: no Simplex document read states it either way, and the two are not interchangeable in a drawn layout, because the 4098-9613 carried 70 ft UL and ULC spacing against 50 ft here.
