NOTIFIER NBG-12LX — a dual-action addressable manual pull station with a built-in addressable interface for NOTIFIER intelligent control panels, so the panel can display the exact location of the activated station.
Dual action means two motions are required to activate the station, which reduces accidental alarms. Pushing in, then pulling down on the handle causes it to latch in the down/activated position; the word "ACTIVATED" in bright yellow appears at the top of the handle while a portion of the handle protrudes from the bottom of the station. To reset, unlock the station with the key and pull the door open — this resets the handle, and closing the door automatically resets the switch. Maintenance personnel can open the station for inspection and address setting without causing an alarm condition.
Shell, door and handle are molded of durable polycarbonate with a textured finish. A built-in bicolor LED, visible through the handle, flashes in normal operation and latches steady red in alarm; on FlashScan® systems it blinks green to indicate normal. Two rotary decimal switches set the address. The station includes Braille text on the handle and meets the ADA requirement for 5 lb. maximum activation force.

Installation notes

Panel compatibility exclusions: the addressable interface works with any NOTIFIER intelligent control panel except FireWarden series panels and the NSP-25 panel.

Backbox is a separate order: surface mount requires the SB-10 (metal) or SB-I/O (plastic) backbox. Semi-flush mounting fits a standard single-gang, double-gang, or 4" (10.16 cm) square electrical box.

Trim ring: the optional BG12TR is usually needed for semi-flush mounting with 4" or double-gang boxes, but not with single-gang boxes.

Address range depends on protocol: 1–159 on FlashScan, 1–99 on CLIP. Setting an address above 99 on a CLIP loop will not communicate.

Keys: reset requires the station key; replacement keys are ordered as part number 17021 (set of two).

ADA: install within the limits defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act or per national/local requirements. The station meets ADAAG controls and operating mechanisms guidelines, Section 4.1.3[13].
