BG-12LX — dual-action addressable manual pull station with the addressable interface mounted inside, for use on the SLC loop of Fire•Lite addressable fire alarm control panels.
Because the BG-12LX is addressable, the control panel can display the exact location of the activated manual station, leading fire personnel quickly to the alarm. Dual action means two motions are required to activate: push in, then pull down, which latches the handle in the down position and reveals the word ACTIVATED in bright yellow at the top of the handle. A built-in bicolor LED, visible through the handle, flashes in normal operation and latches steady red in alarm. Maintenance personnel can open the station for inspection and address setting without causing an alarm condition. The shell, door and handle are molded of durable polycarbonate with a textured finish, and Braille text is included on the handle. Ships with the key locking feature; listed for Canadian and non-Canadian applications.

Installation notes

Trim ring: the optional BG12TR is usually needed for semi-flush mounting with 4" (10.16 cm) square or double-gang boxes — not with single-gang boxes.

Address range is panel-dependent: 1–159 requires the breakaway tab to be removed and an MS-9600 Series panel; MS-9200UDLS accepts 1–99 and MS-9050UD accepts 1–50. Set the address to the range the connected panel supports.

Servicing without an alarm: the station can be opened for inspection and address setting without causing an alarm condition.

Reset requires the key: unlock the station and pull the door open to reset the handle; closing the door automatically resets the switch. Replacement keys are P/N 17003 (set of two).
