Kidde KC2-SB4 — standard four-terminal detector base with an integral trim skirt, 6 in. diameter, for the KC2 conventional series.
The KC2 range is a head-and-base design in which the base is ordered separately from the detector. This base carries the field wiring on four screw terminals and accepts any KC2 head. The 4 in the catalogue number is not the diameter: Kidde lists KC2-SB as the 4 in. base and KC2-SB4 as the 6 in. base with the trim skirt already fitted, covering back boxes a 4 in. base leaves exposed.

KC2-SB is the same base at 4 in. without the skirt. KC2-RB and KC2-RB4 add an auxiliary relay at 4 in. and 6 in., GSA-TS is the loose trim skirt and GSA-LED the single-gang remote indicator. The Edwards-branded twin is EC2-SB4 under the same sheet number.
