Gamewell-FCI INI-VGX — Transponder Voice Gateway from the INI-VG Series: the digital audio transponder node of the E3 Series® Broadband Audio Evacuation System, and an optional component of the E3 Series Expandable Emergency Evacuation System.
The INI-VGX is a multi-function module carrying software-programmable multi-channel digital audio. It provides command and control for up to four AM-50 Series amplifiers operating at 50 watts each, at either 25 VRMS or 70.7 VRMS output, with backup amplifier support and up to 150 watts of audio delivered at any given time; the amplifiers install in a single cabinet. One Class B, Style 4 signaling line circuit supports up to 32 addressable speaker circuits (AOM-2SF) and 16 addressable phone circuits (AOM-TELF), and the board carries a local fire fighter phone riser. Sixteen messages can be stored with up to three minutes total duration per INI-VGX, field-configured from a laptop, and each INI-VG Series node keeps its own internal recorded message storage as a redundant backup should another panel stop functioning. Advanced Digital Signal Processing handles audio compression and filtering, automatically filtering background noise during voice paging and fire fighter communications, which increases audibility and eliminates the need for push-to-talk devices. The module resides on the E3 Series and/or S3 Series network as a node with fully independent control.

Installation notes

UTP only as ordered: the third-generation INI-VGX is a twisted-pair (UTP) module. Fiber connectivity is added with the plug-in FML-E3 (multi-mode) or FSL-E3 (single-mode) module — order it separately if the network run is fiber.

Amplifier budget: four AM-50 Series amplifiers may be connected, but no more than 150 watts of audio is delivered at any given time; the fourth amplifier is the backup. All amplifiers install in a single cabinet.

Message time is a hard limit: sixteen messages sharing a three-minute total duration per INI-VGX — plan message length across the whole set, not per message.

Circuit split: the single Class B, Style 4 SLC carries both speaker control (up to 32 AOM-2SF) and fire fighter phone circuits (up to 16 AOM-TELF).

Power source: operates from 24 VDC nominal supplied by the PM-9 or PM-9G power supply.
