Fire-Lite SEISKIT-BB17 — seismic battery bracket kit for the BB-17 series external battery box.
In a seismic installation the batteries inside the battery box must be restrained. This kit supplies the bracket that clamps two 18 Ah batteries in the box. Fire-Lite lists it for the BB-17F. The box, the batteries and the wall anchors are not included.
- Contents: one battery bracket, two #6-32 screws and two #6-32 keps nuts
- Batteries: Power-Sonic PS-12180 only; the document allows no substitutes
- Installed per the kit document, meets ASCE 7, IBC (ASCE 7 and ICC AC-156) and CBC
- At least 6.0 in. clearance between the battery box top and the panel cabinet
- Anchors: 1/4 in. lag screws in wood, 1/4 in. Hilti KH-EZ in concrete
Not SEISKIT-COMMENC, which restrains batteries inside the panel cabinet, or SEISKIT-320/B26 and SEISKIT-BB100, which are for the BB-26 and BB-100 boxes.
