AMM-2F — Gamewell-FCI Velociti Series addressable monitor module providing a single Style B, Class B initiating device circuit (IDC) with a 47 kΩ end-of-line resistor. It supplies an address for any device or group of devices connected to that circuit on the signaling line circuit (SLC) of a Gamewell-FCI addressable series fire alarm control panel.
Any initiating device with normally open (N.O.) dry contacts may be made addressable when connected to the AMM-2F. The module can be programmed to provide a wide variety of input functions: manual station, heat detector, plenum detector, waterflow switch, tamper switch, N.O. contact, smoke detector, projected beam smoke detector, sub loop or remote zone. It can also serve as a remote system silence, system reset, system acknowledge or drill switch, and its device type can be customized to meet specific job requirements. Its compact size facilitates installation inside manual stations or the mounting boxes of various alarm initiating devices.
The Velociti Series uses a communication protocol that substantially increases the speed of communication between the sensors and certain Gamewell-FCI analog addressable fire alarm controls. These devices operate in a grouped fashion: if one device in the group has a status change, the panel’s microprocessor stops the group poll and concentrates on the single device. The net effect is response speed up to five times greater than earlier designs.

Installation notes
-
Line resistance budget: the IDC supports a maximum line resistance of up to 40 ohms, which is what allows linear heat detection devices to be used on the circuit.
-
End-of-line resistor: the circuit is supervised with a 47 kΩ EOL resistor — substituting a different value from another manufacturer’s module will cause trouble conditions.
-
Contact type: the module monitors normally open dry contacts only.
-
Mounting: the compact 1.3 × 2.5 × 0.5 in. body is intended to fit inside manual stations or the backboxes of the initiating devices it monitors.
-
Environment: although rated to 32–120°F and 93% RH non-condensing per NFPA requirements, the manufacturer recommends installation in a normal room temperature of 60–80°F (15–27°C), as extreme temperature and humidity adversely affect the useful life of standby batteries and electronic components.
-
Panel compatibility: intended for the SLC of Gamewell-FCI addressable series fire alarm control panels. Some modules or applications may not be listed by every approval agency — consult the factory for latest listing status.
