Gamewell-FCI AOM-2SF — a Velociti® Series addressable output relay supervised control module that lets a Gamewell-FCI analog addressable fire alarm control panel switch an external power supply, such as a DC supply or audio amplifier up to 80 VRMS, to notification appliances.
The notification appliance circuit can be wired Class A (Style Z) or Class B (Style Y). The module supervises the wiring to the connected loads and reports their status to the panel as NORMAL, OPEN or SHORT CIRCUIT, and contains a panel-controlled LED. The Velociti® protocol polls devices in groups: when one device in a group changes status the panel’s microprocessor stops the group poll and concentrates on that device, giving response speed up to five times greater than earlier designs. The AOM-2SF installs in the signaling line circuit of any Gamewell-FCI analog addressable panel, whose SLCs accommodate up to 159 modules per circuit, and mounts in a 4 in. (10.16 cm) square junction box 2 1/8 in. (5.5 cm) deep.

Installation notes

It supervises the NAC wiring: unlike a plain relay module, the AOM-2SF monitors the circuit to the connected appliances and reports open and short conditions back to the panel. Install end-of-line supervision per the panel manual.

80 VRMS audio limit: the module accommodates audio amplifiers up to 80 VRMS — verify the amplifier output voltage before switching a speaker circuit through it.

LED behavior depends on the panel: the bi-color LED flashes green when the module is addressed and lights steady red on activation, but only the red LED is operative in panels that do not run in Velociti® mode, and the bi-color LED functionality is not available on the GWF-7075 panel.

Releasing service: the module is FM listed as suitable for releasing device service.

Box depth matters: a 4 in. square box of 2 1/8 in. depth is required — a shallow box will not accept the module.
