Edwards SIGA-CT2 — a Signature Series intelligent analog-addressable dual input module that connects up to two Class B normally-open alarm, supervisory or monitor dry-contact initiating device circuits to a Signature loop.
Each circuit gathers analog information from the initiating devices wired to it and converts it into digital signals, and the module’s on-board microprocessor analyzes the signal and decides whether to input an alarm. Function is set by “personality codes” the installer selects and the Signature loop controller downloads during configuration. The key advantage over the single-input SIGA-CT1 is that two codes are assigned, one per circuit, and codes 1 through 4 may be mixed — for example code 1 on circuit A and code 4 on circuit B. The module mounts to a standard North American 1-gang box.

Installation notes
-
Budget two addresses, not one: the SIGA-CT2 consumes two module addresses on the Signature loop. Count it as two when sizing a loop against the 250-module limit.
-
Mixing personality codes: codes 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be mixed on SIGA-CT2 and SIGA-MCT2 modules only. 1 = normally-open alarm, latching (pull stations, heat detectors). 2 = normally-open alarm, delayed latching, alarm after the contact closes for approximately 16 seconds, intended for waterflow alarm switches. 3 = normally-open active, non-latching (fans, dampers, doors). 4 = normally-open active, latching (supervisory and tamper switches).
-
Will not support 2-wire smoke detectors. The data sheet states this explicitly for these input modules.
-
End-of-line resistor: the wiring diagram calls for a 47k ohm EOL resistor on each initiating device circuit.
-
Circuit limits: maximum 25 ohms resistance per wire, 0.1 µF capacitance per circuit, and maximum 10 VDC at 350 µA on the initiating circuit. All wiring is supervised and power-limited.
-
Wire size, with a caveat: terminals take #18 AWG (0.75 mm²) through #12 AWG (2.5 mm²), with #16 and #18 AWG preferred. Note that the data sheet’s design-reference table lists #12 AWG as 1.50 mm², contradicting the 2.5 mm² given for #12 AWG in the Installation section and notes of the same document.
-
Addressing: electronic, with no switches or dials. Addresses download from the loop controller, a PC, or the SIGA-PRO Signature Program/Service Tool. Ground fault detection is by address.
-
Power dependency: the module will not operate without electrical power.
