Gaskets

Gaskets, O-rings and seal kits maintain the environmental rating of detection and electrical housings. On a flame or gas detector rated for a hazardous location, the seal is what preserves that rating — a housing reassembled with a damaged O-ring is no longer explosion-proof or weather-tight.

Seals are specific to the housing and to the sensor head or cover they mate with, and dimensions are not interchangeable between series. Replace them whenever a housing is opened for service rather than reusing a compressed seal, and order by the equipment part number.
