Command Centers

Command centers are the head end of an emergency communication system. They supervise the area-of-refuge stations, elevator phones and call boxes on the system, answer and route calls, and report trouble conditions on the lines.

Specify by zone count — how many communication points the system has to supervise — and by where calls need to be answered: a constantly attended location on site, a remote central station, or both with failover. Battery backup and line supervision are normally required so the system still functions during a power failure or a cut line.
