VESDA OSE-RBA — spare alkaline battery pack for OSID battery-powered Emitters.
An OSID battery Emitter runs with no wiring to it at all, so the pack is the only scheduled-maintenance item on that end of the beam. Its fault LED blinks about 13 months before rated end of life, then a trouble is signaled to the IDC once that life is exceeded. Detection continues on residual capacity and a dead pack cannot cause a false alarm, but the device is off-normal once the trouble latches.

- Changed by prying off the front cover, unplugging the connector and releasing the strap
Not universal across OSID Emitters. Early OSE-SP units carry a non-serviceable lithium battery in the eyeball and cannot take an OSE-RBA; those need the OSE-RBL lithium exchange unit, ordered by serial number through the RMA process. Check the Emitter label first.
