System Sensor MOD2W — i3 Series Loop Test/Maintenance Module for two-wire i3 smoke detectors.
i3 detectors report more than alarm — drift out of sensitivity and ambient temperature nearing freezing — which an ordinary IDC cannot read. The MOD2W polls them over the same two wires and breaks the answers out onto separate relays: form C for out-of-sensitivity and freeze trouble, form A for alarm, another for loop fault. It also gives the loop Style D wiring, and EZ Walk Test puts every detector into walk test.
- Detectors: two-wire i3 2W-B and 2WT-B, plus one 2WTR-B per loop; max 12 per zone
- Resettable supply 8.5 to 35 VDC, power limited; 20 mA standby at 24 V, 185 mA alarm
- Alarm and maintenance contacts 100 mA at 36 VDC resistive
- Maximum IDC loop wiring resistance 50 Ω; loop EOL device 3.9 kΩ
- Mounts to a 4-11/16" box or listed enclosure; 14 to 22 AWG terminals
Do not order this in place of the 2W-MOD2, a separate module whose compatibility list includes the 2WTA-B while the MOD2W list does not.
