System Sensor BEAMHK — heater kit for the transmitter/receiver unit of the BEAM1224 and BEAM1224S reflected beam smoke detectors.
Projected beam detectors earn their keep in unheated, temperature-swinging spaces: warehouses, aircraft hangars, enclosed parking decks, cold storage. In those spaces condensation forms on the optical face, attenuates the beam and reaches the panel as a trouble condition or an unwanted alarm. BEAMHK holds the transmitter/receiver slightly above the surrounding air temperature so condensation is less likely to form.

This kit heats the detector head only. The reflector needs the separate BEAMHKR kit, which draws far more at 450 mA maximum at 32 V, and four BEAMHKR kits are required with the BEAMLRK long range reflector kit. The two are not substitutes for each other.
