ELOCK-FA — Space Age Electronics Fire Alarm Circuit Lockout Kit, an NFPA 10.6.5 compliant kit that locks out and permanently identifies the fire alarm branch circuit breaker in an electrical panel.
The ELOCK-FA addresses the requirement that the circuit disconnecting means for a fire alarm system be identified and mechanically protected. A red steel lockout tab labeled "FIRE ALARM" is fitted over the breaker and secured with a single hex screw, so the breaker cannot be casually switched off or reset, and an adhesive sheet of stickers marks the circuit inside the panel. The result is that the fire alarm circuit is always clearly identified, preventing accidental deactivation or unapproved resetting of the breaker during service.

Installation notes

Match the tab to the system: the ELOCK-FA tab is lettered "FIRE ALARM." A bi-directional amplifier or ERCES circuit needs the ELOCK-BDA kit, whose tab reads "BDA ERCES" — the two kits are not interchangeable as labeling.

Label the panel, not just the breaker: the adhesive stickers are part of the compliance intent. Fitting the tab without applying the circuit labels leaves the circuit identification incomplete.

Keep the hex key with the panel documentation: the tab is secured by a single hex screw, and the supplied hex key is the tool needed to release it for legitimate service.
