Simplex 4903-9426 — TrueAlert non-addressable wall horn strobe for four-wire operation, fixed 75 candela, red with white FIRE lettering.
A xenon strobe and a low-current piezoelectric horn share one housing, each with its own diode-polarized input for a reverse-polarity supervised circuit. An on-board switch sets free-run or synchronized flash, the sync signal coming from a 4905-9914 Class B or 4905-9922 Class A module or from the panel.
- Candela is fixed by part number, not by a switch: in the same table 4903-9425 is 15 cd and 4903-9427 is 110 cd
- Strobe flashes at 1 Hz, up to 35 synchronized strobes per circuit; nameplate 192 mA RMS, 128 mA at 24 VDC
- Horn is a 2400 to 3700 Hz sweep modulated at 120 Hz; 88 dBA steady and 84 dBA coded, reverberant UL 464 test at 10 ft, 24 VDC
- Horn current 25 mA steady and 15 mA coded at 24 VDC, rated 16 to 33 VDC
- 5-1/8" H × 5" W × 2-3/4" D, semi-flush or surface to a single-gang, double-gang or 4" square box
- 32 to 122 °F; CSFM 7125-0026:239, MEA35-93E
Simplex records this model as replacing 4903-9237 and 4903-9423, which were 30 cd rather than 75. Confuse it with row neighbours 4903-9425 and 4903-9427, or the white set 4903-9431 to -9433.
