This is a power feed accessory, not a module. Simplex lists it for the case where the 4100 slot modules in a cabinet need more than 2 A of 24 VDC from the system power supply. That is the sense in which it is additional: it supplements the 24 VDC already reaching those slots rather than replacing it.
