Siemens PSC-12M (S54430-C26-A1) — addressable, microprocessor-controlled main power supply and battery charger that gives a Cerberus PRO Modular panel primary regulated 24VDC power at 12 Amps in alarm and 5 Amps in standby, with a built-in charger for batteries up to 100AH.
The PSC-12M is the main system power supply, not a booster. It is a universal input supply accepting 120VAC to 240VAC at 50/60Hz with no configuration jumpers or taps to set. Because it is intelligent, it reports its own status to the Cerberus PRO Modular Operator Interface (Model FCM2041-U3), which can query it for system charging current, terminal loading, ground-fault conditions and more. Power and data reach the other cards through a 60-pin backplane connector carrying both 24VDC and 6.2VDC. The battery charger monitors the batteries automatically and selects between Bulk (full) charge, Trickle charge and Float (maintenance) states; battery size is declared in the Zeus-D configuration tool. The module mounts in one of four module spaces on the back box or on the optional CAB-MP mounting plate inside a CAB-1, CAB-2 or CAB-3 enclosure.

Installation notes
-
Lead-acid only: the PSC-12M can only charge lead-acid batteries. Lithium or other chemistries are not supported by this charger.
-
Declare the battery size in software: the battery capacity fitted to the panel is entered in the Zeus-D configuration tool, and the charger uses that to pick its charge state. Fitting a different battery without updating the configuration means the charger is working to the wrong profile.
-
Two output terminals, one budget: the 4A power-limited terminal is for external use and the 12A non-power-limited terminal for internal use, but the combined draw must not exceed 12A.
-
Expansion: up to three PSX-12M power supply extenders can be connected to one PSC-12M. The PSFA Power Supply Filter Assembly is required for applications with more than two PSX-12M extenders; a PSFA is included with the PSC-12M for AC field connections.
-
Two supplies in one cabinet: holding two PSC-12M supplies in a single CAB-series enclosure requires the optional PSC-ISO-CBL extender cable (S54430-K4-A1).
-
Standby current scales with relays: budget 150 mA plus 20 mA for each relay that is active when sizing standby battery calculations.
