NOTIFIER NOT-BG12LX — dual-action addressable manual pull station with key locking feature, listed for Canadian and non-Canadian applications.
The NOT-BG12LX is a dual-action pull station — two motions are required to activate it — that includes an addressable interface for FireWarden series intelligent control panels and the NSP-25 panel. Because it is addressable, the control panel can display the exact location of the activated manual station, leading fire personnel straight to the alarm. Pushing in and then pulling down on the handle latches it in the down/activated position; the word “ACTIVATED” appears in bright yellow at the top of the handle and a portion of the handle protrudes from the bottom of the station. A built-in bicolor LED, visible through the handle, flashes in normal operation and latches steady red in alarm. Resetting means unlocking the station with the key and pulling the door open, which resets the handle; closing the door automatically resets the switch. Maintenance personnel can open the station for inspection and address setting without causing an alarm condition. Shell, door and handle are moulded of durable polycarbonate with a textured finish.

Installation notes

Address range depends on the panel: the rotary decimal switches allow 1–99 on the NFW2-100/NFW2-100C and 1–50 on the NFW-50/NFW-50C. Check the address range of the specific FireWarden panel before laying out the loop.

Trim ring for larger boxes: the optional BG12TR trim ring is usually needed for semi-flush mounting with 4 in. (10.16 cm) or double-gang boxes, but not with single-gang boxes.

Indoor, dry locations only: the NOT-BG12LX is specified for use indoors in a dry location. Outdoor or wet locations require a station listed for that service.

Testing without alarm: the station can be opened for inspection and address setting without causing an alarm, so addresses can be checked at commissioning without dispatching the system.

Key reset: after actual emergency operation the station cannot be restored to normal except with the key. Keys are supplied as part number 17021, set of two.

Two-wire SLC: the station connects with two wires to one of the control panel SLC loops and reports the state of the manual switch on command from the panel.
