9-30783-KID-ULF is the Kidde ModuLaser detector module, the self-contained aspirating unit of the ModuLaser modular aspirating smoke detection system. Each detector module draws air from its own sampling pipe zone, analyzes it with laser light scattering and ClassiFire artificial intelligence, and drives local relays for pre-alarm, alarm and fault. It reports to a separately ordered display module over RS-485 (SenseNET+); a Minimum or Standard display module supports up to 8 detector modules in a cluster.

Compatibility and installation notes
- Requires a display module, ordered separately: 9-30780-KID-ULF, 9-30781-KID-ULF (Standard) or 9-30782-KID-ULF (Command). A Command display module cannot replace a Minimum or Standard module within a cluster.
- Listed for open area protection and special application under UL 268 and for duct detection under UL 268A, with duct airflow up to 4,000 ft/min.
