Kidde EOL-47 — 47 kΩ, 1/2 W end-of-line resistor for supervised fire alarm circuits.
A supervised circuit only reports a wiring fault because a known resistance sits at its far end: lose the resistor and the panel reads an open, short it and the panel reads an alarm. This is the 47 kΩ value, and it is the consumable a technician replaces after a device swap, a loop extension or a cut-and-patch repair.

End-of-line value is panel-specific, never universal. Check the installation manual for the control unit you are working on before ordering — fitting 47 kΩ where 4.7 kΩ is specified, or the reverse, throws the circuit into trouble or defeats supervision. Kidde also lists the EOL-4.7 at 4.7 kΩ and the EOL-47KL, the same 47 kΩ value supplied with wire leads; order that one if your termination needs leads.
