Gamewell-FCI SLC-PM — plug-in Signaling Line Circuit Personality Module that adds one System Sensor protocol SLC loop to a Smart Loop Panel main board.
On the S3 Series (Small Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel), the signaling line circuits carry all communication between the panel and the field devices, and each SLP-E3 (Smart Loop Panel) main board accepts either one or two plug-in SLC personality modules. The SLC-PM provides one SLC loop wired Class B or Class A and speaks the System Sensor protocol, supporting up to 318 Velociti® devices (159 sensors plus 159 modules) or up to 198 CLIP devices (99 sensors plus 99 modules). Because it plugs into the main board, loop capacity can be expanded without removing or replacing panel hardware.

Installation notes

Host board: the module plugs into the Smart Loop Panel main board (SLP-E3). Each main board supports one or two personality modules, so a two-loop panel needs two modules.

Protocol is not mixed: the SLC-PM is the System Sensor module. Apollo XP95 devices require the SLC95-PM instead — the two modules are ordered by the device protocol on the loop, not interchangeably.

Capacity depends on protocol: the same module carries 318 devices in Velociti but only 198 in CLIP; count sensors and modules separately, since each is capped at half the total.

Wiring limits: 40 ohms line impedance and 0.5 µF maximum line capacitance govern the loop length and conductor selection.

Field expansion: the plug-in design allows expansion of the S3 Series system without removing or replacing hardware.
