Gamewell-FCI MS-7ASF — a Velociti® Series addressable single action manual fire alarm pull station for the signaling line circuit of Gamewell-FCI analog addressable control panels.
Activation of the station causes its assigned address to register at the fire alarm control panel. The door contains an LED which flashes green in normal condition and lights steady red when the pull station is activated. The station features screw terminals. Like the rest of the MS-7 Series it complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 5-lb. maximum pull force requirement, has operating instructions and Braille text engraved in the handle, and includes a key lock/reset tumbler lock keyed alike with Gamewell-FCI fire alarm control panels and other MS-7 manual stations. The Velociti® protocol polls devices in groups and concentrates on a single device when its status changes, giving response speed up to five times greater than earlier designs. The housing is Lexan®, and the station is shock and vibration resistant.

Installation notes

Single action, not double: the MS-7ASF operates with one motion. If the specification or AHJ calls for a double action station, the addressable equivalent is the MS-7AF — the two are not interchangeable.

Indoor only: the MS-7ASF is rated 32° to 120°F. Outdoor listing in the MS-7 Series belongs to the MS-7LOB, which is a different (double action, conventional) station rated -30° to 150°F and mounted on an SB-I/O backbox. Do not install the MS-7ASF outdoors.

Addressable panels only: this station will not work on a conventional initiating device circuit — it registers an SLC address.

Mounting: surface or semi-flush on a standard double-gang or 4 in. (10.2 cm) square electrical box. Use the SB-10 surface backbox for surface mount, or the BG12TR plastic trim ring for semi-flush.

LED behavior depends on the panel: only the red LED is operative in panels that do not operate in Velociti® mode.

New York City: the NY-PLATE provides the NYC backplate for the manual pull station.
